Kurt Huff

Kurt resides in Butler with his wife Michelle. He has been involved in bowling from a very young age. Kurt bowled in Butler County YABA where he had many league championships for Singles, Doubles, and Team events. He also held High Average, High Single and High Triple. He went on to other great accomplishments. He is a member of the five-man team that holds the Butler County Record for high scratch series of 3646.
His personal accomplishments include having a 225 Average in the 1987-1988 bowling season. This was not broken for 7 years. He also had a high series that season of 816 which was another Butler County Record. In 1991 he was the Grizzly VIII Champion, the first scratch bowler to win the tournament. In 1994 he had a 726 at ABC National Tournament in Mobile, Alabama where he placed 34th in the final single standings. He also bowled a 299 in the PSBA tournament at Freeway Lanes in 1994. He also won the “Rock” Tournament with a 789-scratch series that year.
Kurt had a 298 game in the Channel 4 TV Qualifier. He threw 22 strikes in a row in the City League in 1987-1988. He has bowled in Butler City League, Imperial League and Butler County Traveling League. He has won Multiple BCBA championships for singles, doubles, and team. He was a member of the 1996 PSBA Scratch Team Champions which include Butler HOF Members Tom Fry, Dee Crowe, Wayne Giesler and Ray Henry.
Kurt served on the BCBA board of Directors from 1991-1996 and helped bring the first state tournament to Butler County in 1994. He helped organize the Butler County Men’s Traveling League and the Summer Triple Classic League. He was also an organizer of Bowl with Butler’s Best Youth Scholarship Tournament. He is serving as a High School coach for Butler Golden Tornado Bowling Team. Kurt is a USBC Coach with Bronze and Silver Certification.
